Pillar Group Meets to Donate Money

Allocations for 2007-2008 Pillar Group funds was just over $73,000.  Half the money is given to the general fund and the remaining $33.8k is spent at the discretion of the Pillar membership.

On June 22, the Pillar membership met to allocate a little under $16k:

$5000 to renovate (Expand the choir area in the sanctuary, $5000 toward a donor wall, $4000 to cover additional building repair expenses and

$1000 each as seed money to the mortgage reduction and the endowment.

Last year there was an urgent request for painting the building and the membership agreed to allocate $21.5k in anticipation of receipt in the upcoming 2007-08 year.

Each year the Pillar Group contributes significant funds to help fill budget gaps at the temple as well as to fund nice “extras” that benefit the TAE community. The members recognize the enhancements to their lives that TAE brings and wish to support this very successful temple community. Further, members feel the in mitzvah of giving and the satisfaction of the enhanced programming and physical appearance of TAE that our donations allow.

All TAE members (who pay full dues) can participate for a minimum contribution of $500.
